About Claron Lodge
We moved to Claron Lodge in 2012. When we arrived, the house was in need of a little TLC though we loved the many original 1960’s touches and saw its great potential.
The house has an interesting history, comprising elements from the 70’s, 60’s, 50’s and earlier. Part was the garage and servant’s quarters for Claron Way, a substantial property advertised for sale by Harrod’s Estate Agents in 1959 as a ‘house of charming character. Part dating from the 16th century but enlarged, modernised and equipped without regards to cost.’

Shortly after this, the property was sold separately from Claron Way and the then owners made substantial additions in the 1960’s and early 70’s. We understand that the lady of the house at that time had been a homes and interiors journalist which would explain the many lovely features contemporary to that time.
